1916: 10th Deck Division organized
The 10th Deck Division was organized and mustered into service. consisting of three commissioned officers and 56 men. Headquarters were established at the old High School building on Pleasant Street. The company was federalized on March 29, 1917 and assigned to duty aboard USS Nebraska.

1895: Electricity comes to Marblehead
Marblehead was illuminated by electricity for the first time, "...the light being furnished by 165 arc lamps of two thousand candle power, and 40 incandescents of twenty five candle power each." (Roads)
