The Marblehead Historical Commission is an all-volunteer organization focused on identifying, preserving, and protecting Marblehead’s historic assets while making them accessible to the public. Its work ranges from cataloging newly acquired (or discovered!) artifacts, caring for museums and displays, educational programs and publications, to developing plans and working with Town and State agencies to preserve Marblehead’s historic buildings, structures, and areas.
Volunteers are always welcome and can assist with archival work, educational projects, exhibits and museums, historic preservation planning, work in the Gift shop or become docents for the Maritime Museum. Contact the Historical Commission for more information.
