SUMMARY:1814: USS Constitution chased to Marblehead
DESCRIPTION:HMS Tenedos and HMS Junon\, powerful British warships\, chase USS Constitution to Marblehead\, and then turn away before the guns of Fort Sewall could bear down upon them. Constitution was saved from certain destruction. Samuel Green\, one of the Marbleheaders on board\, was actually at the helm and piloted Constitution safely into Marblehead Harbor. Green Street is named in his honor.
